I finally took an afternoon looking through the deeper shades I already own. At first I assumed that Deep Winter explained every color I liked. Even so, charcoal sweaters appear polished but true black tops can make my face appear tired. I began comparing my face beside navy, espresso, cool gray, and muted plum. That small exercise made me pause before treating one season as a final answer. When I wanted a second way to compare, I used this color analysis so I could examine contrast and undertone separately. Now I am leaning toward colors that feel deep but do not overpower my features. I would love to hear how others have compared palette labels before replacing a whole closet? I am deliberately leaving bright lipstick, dramatic jewelry, and online quizzes out of this first comparison. Those may be useful later, but right now I only need a repeatable view of familiar clothing in ordinary daylight. A few careful notes feel more useful than a dramatic makeover or a rushed decision about every future purchase. |
